Soccer has been an important part of my life for many years. I was fortunate to play in high school, college, and various men's leagues here in CT. As soon as I graduated from college, I began coaching soccer. Over the years, I have been a head coach at the high school varsity and middle school levels and have coached travel teams in Stratford and Fairfield. I started the girls' soccer program at Pleasantville HS in Pleasantville, NY.
Soccer is the ultimate team sport. Team members must work together to achieve success. Throughout the season, I tell the boys that for the team to be successful, each player must improve their technique and understanding of the tactics used during a game. Our practices will focus on skill development and knowing how to move to various places on the field, depending on the situation. Additionally, players must be physically fit to play soccer. Therefore, the boys can expect to spend time every practice on conditioning. I also tell the team members that practice sessions are where you work, and games are where you show off what you have learned during practice.

This is my second year coaching at FCDS. I played varsity soccer and baseball at Saint Benedict's Preparatory in high school. I have years of experience coaching soccer, softball, basketball, and baseball. I enjoy coaching young athletes in the fundamental skills needed to be competitive on the field. Sports is one of the best ways for student-athletes to develop teamwork, manage their time wisely, stay healthy, and have fun.
