At FCDS, stewardship is a collective effort. Each year, every grade sponsors a stewardship project, reinforcing the value of contributing to our local community and supporting others. While the grade takes the lead, it's the combined effort of all students at FCDS that makes these projects a success.
Kindergarten: Crayon collection for The Crayon Initiative
Grade One: Sneaker collection for GotSneakers
Grades Two and Three: Food waste stewards for Massaro Community Farm
Grade 4: Winter gear drive for Person to Person
Grade 5: Notes and cards for Westport Senior Center
Grade 6: Thanksgiving Food Drive for Operation Hope
Grade 7: Pink Day benefiting breast cancer awareness with Pink Aid and the Pink Posse
Grade 8: Pancake breakfast benefiting different organizations in our community each year

Student Council: Hot Chocolate sales for organizations voted on by the student council
All-School: Honor Flight, AMR Bridgeport, Make-A-Wish, and Mustaches for Movember
