Fairfield Country Day is excited to welcome Porter Hill as our next Head of Lower School. In a very deep and talented pool of applicants, Porter received very strong support from across our community.
Porter brings over fourteen years of educational experience to FCDS having served as a third grade teacher and Director of Professional Development at Greenwich Country Day School. He also brings significant experience in working with boys from his many years as an administrator and lead counselor at Camp Pemigewassett, a traditional all-boys camp in New Hampshire.
Porter is a graduate of Deerfield Academy and Bowdoin College, where he earned his B.A. in Economics. More recently, Porter completed his M.A. in Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies from Stanford’s Graduate School of Education.
“Porter’s love of teaching, his warm disposition, his dedication to faculty development and growth and his desire to build relationships with students and parents will make him a wonderful addition to the FCDS community,” said Headmaster John Munro.
We look forward to welcoming Porter to campus in July!
